What would a typical day as an Inbound Business Development Representative (BDR) at The Receptionist look like?

When businesses express interest in our application via our marketing efforts, you would research and prioritize them based on who we can provide the most value to. You would ask probing questions on phone calls and online chats to understand their pain points and needs. You would help them to learn more about us by scheduling them for demos and webinars. You would then set the rest of the sales team up for success by sharing everything you learned about the lead and high-fiving each other when they closed the sale. Meanwhile, you’d be learning every day, growing your career, learning from sales data analysis, helping us to continuously improve our processes, and leave every day knowing your contribution is valued. 

The Receptionist, located in the RiNo district in Denver, CO, is the industry-leading, cloud-based Visitor Management Solution (VMS) that automates visitor check-in and helps reduce the chaos of the modern front office. What we’ll expect from you and what you'll be doing:

  • Leveraging your passion for sales, creativity, perseverance, active listening skills, authenticity, superior product knowledge, and passion for wowing potential customers to qualify warm leads by determining pain points, location count and implementation timeframe through phone calls, online chats, and emails before passing leads off to the Account Executives or Inside Sales Representatives to close the sale

  • Using your master-level prioritization skills, extreme attention to detail, follow up, and organizational abilities for smart lead scoring, relentless CRM documentation, and task management for maximum impact.

  • Inbound or outbound sales experience of at least 12 months is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (marketing, business, or communications emphasis preferred, but not required).
  • Local candidates only (this position requires some days in the office)
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
